FAQ

PRODUCT

Is your packaging sustainable?

Ideally, we would be able to reconcile eco-responsible packaging, perfect conservation and good visibility of the product. We have not (yet) found this combo. For the moment, our packaging is either made of cardboard or of PLA (corn starch-based).

What is the nutritional quality of your products?

Our products are grown under ideal conditions. They are picked at full maturity and sold immediately. For example, our strawberries have an average of 30% more vitamin C and 20% more sugar than the average supermarket strawberry in Paris.

What about seasonality?

Agricool recreates, in the container, the ideal climatic conditions for each plant (temperature, humidity, light...). They therefore grow there all year round, without having to face external hazards.

Do you have any conservation tips?

We recommend eating our fruits and vegetables as soon as possible. We harvest them at the peak of their maturity. Then, like all plants, the longer you wait, the lower the nutritional quality is likely to be. For storage, we recommend that you keep our products at room temperature or in the bottom of your refrigerator.

Should products be washed before eating?

Our products grow in a 100% clean environment. You can wash the products if you wish, but it's not essential.

STORES

I was disappointed by the products

Sorry to hear that. It is important for us to offer the best possible products and your feedback is essential. If you have time to write to us to give us more information, we would be happy to discuss it with you.

CONTAINER

I would like to purchase a Cooltainer, is it possible?

For the moment, all our farms are managed by Agricool. We are not yet commercializing our solution, neither as a franchise nor for sale.

How do you manufacture the containers?

Our containers are manufactured in-house by our teams. This step currently takes about 1.5 months. We are also working with CMA on the industrialization of the manufacturing of our containers.

What kind of cultivation system do you use?

We produce with an aeroponic system. For them to properly grow, we mist the roots of the plants with a mix of water and nutrients. We also install LEDs to recreate sunlight. Everything is tailor-made. The plants can thus evolve under the best conditions.

What is the water consumption of a Cooltainer?

The closed circuit of the container allows for the reuse of water that has not been directly absorbed by the roots. As a result? Only 1.5L of water is needed to produce 1kg of strawberries. This is 300 times less than the average amount of water used in conventional agriculture.

What is the energy consumption of a Cooltainer?

All our Cooltainers are supplied exclusively with renewable energy. For the moment we do not yet have precise consumption figures but we are currently working on a complete carbon footprint of our Cooltainers. The objective is of course to continue innovating to reduce their energy consumption as much as possible.

Why the container format?

There are millions of containers in circulation. Many of them can be recycled and transformed. The container format is also ideal because it is small, modular, standard, and easily transportable. It is therefore very well suited for installation in the city.

Is it possible to visit the inside of a Cooltainer?

With great pleasure. Find here the dates of our next open doors. We try organize them it as often as possible. Don't see any date coming up in the next few months? Follow our page, the news should arrive very soon.
